Born and raised in the Canadian Outback, after beginning a career in the stock exchange and later studying at ‘Langues Orientales’ in Paris, Debra traded the world of skyscrapers for the silk road as a photographer, author and cinematographer. Debra has lived, traveled and worked extensively throughout Asia with a special focus on India and Nepal. She publishes with magazines such as National Geographic, Paris Match, Geo, Le Figaro, ELLE, Stern and The New York Times. She has published several books, and directed several documentaries. She is currently preparing her first feature film, a Buddhist Comedy set in Nepal and India.
